The Agriculture Department has begun distributing certified quality seeds to farmers across Kurnool district ahead of the Kharif cropping season. Through Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs), farmers are receiving seeds of major crops such as groundnut, paddy, millets, pulses, and cotton to ensure timely sowing and improved crop productivity. The initiative aims to provide farmers with high-quality seed varieties that are better suited to local climatic conditions and offer higher yields.
Agriculture officials are also conducting awareness programs to educate farmers on proper seed selection, sowing techniques, and crop management practices. Along with seed distribution, RBKs are supplying fertilizers, pesticides, and technical guidance to support successful cultivation. Officials believe that timely availability of certified seeds will help increase agricultural production, improve crop quality, and enhance farmers’ incomes during the Kharif season while strengthening food security in Kurnool district.
