The State government is taking the scheduled visit and public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Kurnool on October 16 prestigiously and is leaving no stone unturned to make it a grand success.A host of Cabinet Ministers, including Payyavula Keshav, Anagani Satya Prasad, T.G. Bharath, and B.C. Janardhan Reddy, along with the Collectors, Superintendents of Police, and elected representatives of the erstwhile Kurnool district held a meeting in the State Guest House at Kurnool on Monday to make the meeting a success.

Konidela village in Kurnool district, which struggled for years due to severe drinking water shortage, has finally found relief. DCM Pawan Kalyan has once again proved his commitment to people-first governance by stepping forward to solve the long-pending issue; this time he personally used his own funds to resolve it. For many years, villagers, especially women and the elderly, had to walk long distances daily to fetch drinking water. During summer, the situation became even more difficult. Understanding the people’s pain, he promised to intervene last March, aiming to resolve the issue within a year. Just 11 months later, the problem is solved. Thanks again to the DCM, who has been on a donation spree for the public welfare despite having the official power to allocate those same funds through his department. Donating ₹50 lakhs from his personal funds, the DCM ensured the construction of a massive 90,000-litre protected drinking water Overhead Tank in Konidela village, stopping administrative and local political issues that could have stalled the process. The project is now complete and supplies safe, clean drinking water to nearly 2,000 villagers.

Geomysore Services India Pvt Ltd and Deccan Gold Mines, the companies behind the project, are investing Rs 405 crore in mining, extraction, processing, and marketing of gold bars from Jonnagiri itself. It was once known as Swarnagiri and was renowned during Emperor Ashoka’s period (268-232 BCE), with Ashokan inscriptions found near Erragudi.

KURNOOL: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched a sharp political offensive against the opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) describing as Goddali party and fake party during a public meeting at Jonnagiri in Kurnool district on Wednesday, accusing it of spreading misinformation, promoting divisive politics, and conspiring against Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Addressing a public gathering after the launch of gold production at the Jonnagiri Gold Mining Project, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the Goddaliparty was deliberately targeting Pawan Kalyan through false propaganda and political conspiracies. Referring to the recent Vijayawada incident where a rowdy sheeter Sai Krishna disappeared, the CM has accused opposition leaders of attempting to inject caste-based narratives into every issue and inciting social tensions for political gains. The Chief Minister said the opposition had mastered the art of spreading falsehoods and misleading the public. “They are trying to give a caste colour to every incident and provoke communities. Creating confusion and deceiving people has become their political culture,” he remarked. Highlighting his government’s record on employment, Chandrababu Naidu said the previous administration had failed to fill even a single teacher post while continuously criticising the ongoing DSC recruitment process. He accused the opposition of spreading baseless allegations regarding question paper leaks and vacancies.
