The Sri Raghavendra Swamy Aradhana Mahotsavam is one of the most important religious festivals celebrated at Mantralayam in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. The festival commemorates the Aradhana (Brindavana Pravesha) of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, the revered 17th-century saint, philosopher, and exponent of Dvaita Vedanta. Devotees believe that Sri Raghavendra Swamy entered Jeeva Samadhi at Mantralayam and continues to bless his devotees from his sacred Brindavan.
The festival is observed every year during the Hindu month of Shravana (generally July or August) and lasts for three days, attracting lakhs of devotees from across India. The temple town of Mantralayam becomes a vibrant spiritual center filled with devotional chants, Vedic recitations, and religious activities.
During the celebrations, the temple conducts special pujas, Abhishekam, Moola Brindavana Puja, Panchamruta Abhishekam, Homas (sacred fire rituals), Rathotsavam (chariot procession), Bhajans, and religious discourses highlighting the life and teachings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. Thousands of devotees participate in Annadanam (free community meals) and offer prayers seeking health, prosperity, and spiritual well-being.
